New Build Lymm

PJH Architectural Services were brought in by our client to produce a set of drawings for their new build scheme in Lymm, Cheshire. With emphasis on creating a stylish and bold design, including a usable layout for a large family to call their forever home. Overlooking the beautiful Cheshire planes, it was vital to our client that our design was befitting to the surrounding area and allowed for exquisite scenery to be a part of their home.

On the ground floor we include a large open plan space to the rear, in order to create a communal hub for the entire family to enjoy. This large kitchen, dining and snug area includes several glazing features including large floor to ceiling sliding doors, a number of full height windows as well as stylish and contemporary letterbox windows to both sides. To the front of the property we included a tranquil living space, isolated from the rest of the house and again utilising floor to ceiling glazing, this large living space, complete with a grand piano stage, was a necessity within our client specification. This area provides an excellent space for entertaining guest, or just a quiet place to escape. With access to an internal double garage from the reception area, along with an Office, WC and utility/ boot room, this ground floor caters for any modern family.

The first floor is comprised of 5 large bedrooms, two complete with en-suites, and a spacious foyer area, providing a space to relax with natural light flowing from the front atrium to the rear full height glazing. The incorporation of vaulted ceiling provies rooflights which create more natural light and help infuse the inside to the outside. The master bedroom sits above the living area at ground floor and again is an isolated space with vaulted ceiling lower than the main part of the dwelling and a pitched roof dormer. This aims to provide a cosy feel to the large space. With a walk-in wardrobe leading to a large en-suite, this master bedroom has everything required by our clients. The rear facing & front facing bedrooms incorporate large full height and apex glazing, again looking out to the Cheshire planes, truly adding to the aesthetic appeal of this Lymm new build property.

The external design looks to open the inside to the outside world as well as attempting to integrate within surrounding areas. With several glazing features, including apex atrium & full height windows there is a stylish contemporary feel. This tied together with light brickwork and dark timber Cedral cladding really compliments the surrounding foliage, as well as softening the elevations.
