Side Extension Timperley

PJH Architectural Services were appointed by our client to reconfigure and extend their 3 bedroom detached property on Thorley lane in Timperely, Altrincham. With the intention of creating a large open plan kitchen/ dining room/ living area and adding a large master bedroom to the property via a rear and side extension.

The property had already increased floor space with a mismatch of existing extensions, which the client felt isolated each room on the ground floor. When re-designing the floor layout, we decided to demolish the existing extensions and garage. This allowed us to create the open plan ground floor layout and make a fresh start with the exterior design. Opting for a parapet flat roof extension, we were able to bring in copious amount of natural light with a combination of bi-filding doors and roof lanterns, (see similar products here).

The ground floor side extension allowed us to include a utility room and garage which connects seamlessly to the existing property, allowing the client to access these rooms without leaving the property. The first-floor side extension, building directly above the new ground floor side extension, creates a more aesthetically appealing exterior design, than the existing. This extra space is utilised by a new large master bedroom complete with a walk-in wardrobe and spacious en-suite/wet room facilities.
