Broadlands Road, Worsley
Extension Worsley
Our client approached us on the day of purchasing a tired and run down 1960’s property within Worsley. The brief was to provide a complete refurbishment, extension at ground floor level to provide a large open plan kitchen/dining and snug area and a first floor extension to accommodate 4 large double bedrooms two with en-suite and walk in wardrobe facilities.
In order to provide a modern and appealing property, with a new build look, we designed a large glass atrium above the main entrance to the property which floods both the entrance area and first floor landing with natural daylight. We opted to render the whole property with a through colour K rend system and provide anthracite grey windows and doors throughout.
Since the works have been completed, (April 2019) we have recently been commissioned to add a second floor onto the property, by means of a full loft conversion providing two large additional bedrooms with a jack and Jill en-suite arrangement. The rear facing dormers have been clad in an external horizontally laid, Marley Cedral fibre cement panel, which marry’ s in with the roof tiles, in addition, both bedrooms have large Juliet balconies facing out onto the rear gardens.
