Park Road, Nantwich
Extension Nantwich
PJH Architectural Services were appointed by our client to extend, redesign & remodel their family home on Park Road in Nantwich, to accommodate their growing family needs. Our client purchased the property at the end of 2017, with the view of acquiring a property that would give them scope to carry out ‘a project’ and provide them with the potential of a ‘forever home’. We are very excited to be involved with this Nantwich extension.
This Nantwich extension project aims to create a property that perfectly suits their needs in terms of space and layout, with particular attention paid to creating a large open plan kitchen/dining area at the ground floor for the family and entertaining.
The property, a detached 4 bed 1980’s building, sits on a generous size plot which has allowed us to look towards creating a substantial ground floor rear extension maximising views and access into the rear garden. The whole of the internal layout and been redesigned to provide a more inviting entrance hallway, leading to a reception room and designated playroom on both side of the house. A set of central double doors (aligned with the double entrance doors) off the hallway, leads you through to a spacious open plan snug, dining and kitchen space, which occupies the full width of the house. A large utility area accessed directly off the kitchen, was also a necessity for a large growing family.
The first floor layout has been reconfigured to provide 4 large double bedrooms. The guest room is complete with en-site facilities and two of the kid’s bedrooms have the use of a jack and gill en-suite arrangement.
An additional 2nd floor has been incorporated as part of a large loft conversion and extension, which houses the master bedroom, walk in wardrobe and en-suite facilities, as well as a large home office which has aspects overlooking the rear garden.
Given the extensive internal works and large extended areas, the aesthetics of the property have been dramatically changed/updated to provide a more modern looking property, the use of a wide material palette such as, render, stonework and full height apexed double glazed windows creates an impressive contemporary new build look.
