Horwich Extension

We we’re brought in to this Horwich extension project by our client who had recently purchased the small 1960’s bungalow, set side-on to the road. The plot is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, facing slightly south of south west commanding superb views out across the Cheshire plain, our client was looking to carry out extensive construction works in order to create ‘the ideal forever home’.

We have worked closely with our client in conjunction with a very well detailed and thought out brief, that will in essence create a family communal space for various family generations. Communal areas are essential with a large open plan kitchen dining area forming the hub of the development, with vast views out across the open countryside.

The internal and external areas have been designed to flow and fuse as one large flowing space, this has been achieved by the use of large bi-folding doors, which open out to a hardwood decked area, which in turn joins the split-level kitchen and lounge areas together.

The complete new first floor has been designed to provide a split-level master bedroom with unobstructed south facing views, and an external balcony area that is concealed from the road side and neighboring views.

A large walk in wardrobe/dressing room has been created at the first floor along with a master bathroom, open plan landing/study area and a second first floor bedroom, complete with walk in wardrobe and dormer windows to capture spectacular views.
