Planning Submitted – Prestwich, Bury
PJH Architectural Services have recently submitted a planning application to Bury Council on behalf of our client’s ground & first floor side and rear ground floor extension project in Prestwich. The client and their family outgrew this previously extended semidetached home, requiring a refresh for their current needs. By extending the rear extension at ground floor we were able to modernise the layout and create a open plan kitchen and dining space complete with snug and access to the new utility room. With large sliding doors to the rear garden and a roof light above the dining area, the rear extension aims to be filled with natural daylight. The side extension provides a cloak room and ground floor WC off the entrance hall, and a new internal wall divides the front lounge to provide a separate reception room away from the main living space. At the first floor, the former “box room” has been extended out to provide a double bedroom with ample wardrobe space. The main bathroom has also been extended, having moved over to allow access to the primary bedroom to the rear. This new extension now provides the family with more desirable space to work with at the ground floor and four spacious bedrooms to the first floor. The front elevation has received a new bespoke timber porch to create a new focal point and shelter from the elements at the entrance. Now planning has been submitted to Bury Council we are looking forward to receiving planning consent and progressing onto our detailed building regulation and tender drawings.
