Planning Approved – Urmston, Trafford
Planning has recently been approved by Trafford Council, on behalf of clients ground floor rear and partial side and first floor partial side & partial rear extensions in Urmston, Trafford. Starting by knocking down a tired ground floor rear extension which was beyond salvation. The new partially wraparound extension and removal of existing internal wall allowed us to create an open plan kitchen, dining, and snug area. We aimed to provide natural daylight into the open plan space by using a number of stylish glazing features, such as 4m wide sliding doors, a full height window and a letter box window. Further to the open plan space we created a small WC stealing space from under the existing staircase. To complete the extension, we created a new utility boot room, accessed from the kitchen, and with new external access on the side elevation.
The first-floor side extension is directly above the ground floor side extension and has one sole purpose… a new master bedroom. This was easily achieved, and we looked to design an extension which was sympathetic to our client budget. We all agreed their was no point in heavily extending the property when 1 new bedroom is all that’s required. The new master bedroom is complete with en-suite and is accessed off the existing landing. Upon receiving planning consent, we have produced a detailed set of Building Regulations drawings. These drawings can be used to get accurate quotes from builders and contractors.
