Planning Submitted – Bury, Greater Manchester
PJH Architectural Services have recently submitted a planning application to Bury Council for our clients ground floor side extension on their property in Bury. A returning client of PJH Architectural Services, in a project dubbed “the final piece of the puzzle” by our client. Living in the property for over 40 years we have been involved with our clients more recent developments in adapting, modernising and improving their long standing family home. This final extension project has the aim to provide a communal space to host their ever growing number of grandchildren as well as providing an office space to modernise and adapt to the new “work from home” culture but also to future proof the home for retirement, which is now coming into sight for our clients.
Having previously helped our client with their ground and first floor rear extension a few years ago, we hit the ground running with our clients and developed a design to suit their criteria. A new open plan kitchen to the rear and side, as well as a utility accessed from the kitchen, complete with contemporary kitchen islands, roof lights and modern apex glazing. To the front of the property we introduced a large office big enough to be converted into a bedroom when mobility becomes a problem in the future, in addition to this we have incorporated a “tuck-away” WC under the stairs. To bring the works together we have tied the side extensions hipped roof into a new porch area and included a new bay window to the front to match the opposite side.
Now planning has been submitted we look forward to receiving consent from Bury Council and progressing onto producing building regulations drawings for our client.
