Planning Approved – Wilmslow, Cheshire

Planning has recently been received by Cheshire East Council for our client’s home development project in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The property had been previously extended numerous amounts of times, and although spacious, the layout did not suit our client’s needs. In the first instance, we looked to incorporate a ground floor rear & side extension to tie all previous extensions together. By extending and doing some internal reconfiguring we were able to create a ground floor plan which boasts: a lounge, study, Garage, utility, and ground floor WC as well as a huge open plan kitchen, dining & snug space to the rear. The open plan space looks to incorporate as much natural daylight as possible with a large set of bi-folding doors, full height windows and roof lanterns.

The first floor having previously been extended, was again a good size but could do with some re- configuration. By extending to the rear as much as possible and abiding Cheshire East Council Planning Policies, we were able to create a 5-bedroom first floor, the master bedroom includes a large walk-in-wardrobe & en-suite.

The elevations will be receiving a full renovation. Internally we intend to connect the ground & first floors with a foyer/opening landing area facing onto the apex glazing at the first floor. All new render applied around the property and new anthracite grey windows, will help the extension project create a “new-build” feel to our clients 1980’s property. Upon receiving planning consent, we have produced a detailed set of Building Regulations drawings. These drawings can be used to get accurate quotes from builders and contractors.
