Planning Submitted – Horwich, Bolton
PJH Architectural Services have recently submitted a planning proposal for our client’s proposed internal works, side extension and front elevation works. This property Is a combination of 3 terrace cottages which over the years have been knocked through and converted into one property. This coupled with the fact the original construction of the properties dates back to the 1700’s, has resulted in the property being a little uneven, mismatched and in need of modernising. To start with we looked to reposition the staircase to the front of property. This allowed us to completely open the ground floor of the property up and create a large kitchen, dining and lounge area to the rear and an additional bedroom, WC and storage to the side. The stairs now look out to the front of the property through the full height atrium, which creates a striking feature to the front elevation. Other minor internal reconfigurations to the first and second floors have been made in order to better facilitate our clients needs, including reconfiguration of window positions in order to regain some constancy to the external appearance of the property. Planning has been now been submitted to Bolton Council and we look forward to progressing onto producing building regulations drawings for our client.
