Site Progress – New build, extension and refurbishment works, Knutsford, Woodstock, Clamhunger Lane
Following on from our post on the 5th November and 7th December 2018, works are progressing steadily on site in Knutsford.
The existing roof has been removed in its entirety and new steels are being installed to form the new ridge line. The majority of the first-floor internal walls have been removed in preparation for the installation of our re-designed first floor layout.
The prominent front atrium is nearing completion which consists of a steel supporting frame and blockwork construction with two side facing large 1m diameter bull’s eye windows, and a large central glass feature window to the front elevation, which coupled together will provide masses of natural laylight into an open plan ground floor hallway and first floor dressing room area.
New roof timbers will be installed from next week along with the creation of 3 large dormer roofs to both the front and rear elevations. Large dormer’s have been designed in order to maximise the usable internal space, with large sash type windows providing both natural daylight and adding to the desired character of a New England style design.
