Planning Approved – Prestwich
Great start to the new year!
Planning has been approved for our client’s proposed contemporary ground floor rear extension and internal works to their existing 5 bed roomed semi-detached Victorian property in Prestwich, which sits within a conservation area.
Our client has two young children, whilst their bedroom numbers suit the family, they found that their usable ground floor space was very much split between play room, kitchen and lounge areas, making it hard for the whole family to fully integrate throughout day times/evenings.
We were asked to design and create a ground floor space that can be used by the whole family at all times, and a space that provides designated food preparation areas, utility space and family dining space as well as relaxation areas.
We have created an open plan space which has been flooded with light via the use of rear bi-folding doors, high level apex windows and velux windows to the rear elevation.
The internal space flows between a large open plan kitchen area, with a dining space situated directly in-front of the rear bi-folding doors, this coupled with a large snug area and designated utility with access to a ground floor WC provides the perfect setting for all round family comfort.
We also helped in the recommendation of local contractors, of which are due to start on site in Spring 2019.
